The originally Trayvax first burst into the scene in 2013 thanks to a highly successful Kickstarter campaign. It made a huge impact among minimalist wallet enthusiasts due to its rugged looks and outdoor and recreational friendly features. Mark King is back once again with his latest wallet creation, the Trayvax Contour. This time he has produced a wallet that feels right at home when you pull it out of your pocket during a company board meeting as well as when you hook it to your backpack on your weekend outdoor adventure.
To add that touch of class to the Trayvax Contour, the coated steel plates are now held together with hand stiched U.S sourced top grain leather. The steel plates are machined using a high precision CNC machine and then coated in a unique process called “Plasma vapor deposition”. The coating is extremely durable and does not scratch easily.
The wallet also features a special slider mechanism to adjust the wallet to fit the number of cards or amount of cash that you carry in it. The wallet can be adjusted to store up to 8 cards. A torx wrench is included for making that adjustment.
Some of the original Trayvax wallets features have been carried over to the new wallet. You can still clip the wallet anywhere you like using the integrated caribiner clip. Strap it to your belt or hook it to your backpack strap for easy access while on the go. And of course, you can still use the wallet as a bottle opener. The wallet also offers RFID protection.
The Contour is manufactured in the U.S using materials that are fully sourced locally. Each wallet comes with a lifetime warranty, a testament of the maker’s confidence in the quality of its products. Please note that the leather will form a patina over time. This is not a defect but rather a natural process that actually adds character to the leather.
If you are interested in owning the Trayvax Contour, you can pledge your support to the on-going Indiegogo campaign. With your support, Trayvax hopes to purchase their own CNC machine and continue designing and manufacturing quality products locally in the U.S.
$159 for this card holder? Very expensive!
$59 – $79 is the right price. Tell Mark King at Trayvax.
It is very bulky because of the double leather at the back. Remove 1 leather layer and modify the other layer as a strap can reduce the thickness in half. The price is not good for $159, should be $80 max.
Too expensive guys!
Will buy with $70.
This is not a best slim wallet! Too thick for my taste. I hope they can redesign it. Also the price is not justified. I believe China can make it with 1/3 the price.
