The Woronora is yet another rugged and tough looking minimalist wallet made from kangaroo leather designed by Sydney based designer, nivisto. We have previously featured a slim card case called the Bondi from nvisto but this time we are taking a look at a bi-fold style leather wallet.
While the Bondi is named after the famous beach near Sydney, the Woronora is named after a quiet and charming suburb in southern Sydney. The Woronora suburb is completely ringed by bushland and it is easy to see where the Woronora slim wallet gets its inspiration from. The raw leather look plus the leather strap that keeps the wallet flap closed makes the Woronora feel right at home in bush country.
The Woronora features 2 credit card slots, one on the inside of the bi-fold while the other is on the exterior. Each slot holds about 3 cards comfortably. What makes the Woronora rather unique is the cash pocket. You can choose to fold your cash to fit in the slot and leave the notes flat. Storing your cash flat makes it real easy to ruffle through the notes and pick the ones you need with the wallet open.
The wallet measures 3.15″ / 8 cm (L) x 4.1″ / 10.5 cm (W) and is fairly flat even when full. The leather strap on the outside does add a little to the wallet girth but you can still comfortably fit the wallet in your front pocket.
The Woronora is made from full grain veg tan kangaroo leather, hand stitched with strong waxed thread, edges burnished and sealed with beeswax for durability. Incidentally, did you know that kangaroo leather is considered to be the strongest leather for its weight? Just a little trivia that you can share with your Woronora wallet admirers.
