While I love my everyday carry slim wallet, when I travel, I rather swap to a travel wallet. The main reason for this is that I prefer to keep all my important items like foreign currency, credit cards, passport and boarding pass in a single location. I’ve had enough of frantically rummaging through my backpack looking for my passport because I’ve forgotten which pocket I stored it in. The travel wallets I’ve been using are good for this purpose but they are a whole lot fatter than my slim wallet. I’ve been waiting for a good minimalist travel wallet and the Vault Travel Wallet may be what I’ve been waiting for.
A slim travel wallet not only allows me to put all my important items together but it also allows me better security by letting me keep my wallet in my front pocket. While it is convenient to keep everything in my wallet, if I were to lose the wallet to a pickpocket, it would totally ruin my trip and be an absolute disaster.
Here is what the Vault Travel Wallet offers. An elastic strap that holds on to your cash. 2 card pockets that holds 2 cards each. A larger internal pocket for other items like a hotel key or passcard. Two external pockets that can fit your passport, boarding pass and even a folded map.
The Vault Travel Wallet is designed not just to protect you from being pickpocketed but it also features RFID blocking to protect you from digital theft as well.
Vault Wallets the company behind this travel wallet has launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds so that they can mass produce the wallet and lower the price. If you hurry, you can get the wallet for as low as $19 which is less than half its expected retail price.
